With all this Sims 3 information just coming at us like this, it's no surprise if your head is spinning! This week on Wednesday, the Sims3 official website was opened. This website gave us a good look at The Sims 3. Actually, maybe it should be considered more of a glimpse, as we still don't know the half of it! But with the website opened, there's plenty of information, images, and fun to share.
Now we've heard of the seamless neighborhoods, and with my mind closely thinking about it, I can't help but relate the Sims 3 with MySims. MySims, for those of you who don't know, is the Sims game for the Wii. You play a single character who runs about the town creating homes for new comers. Well this seamless neighborhood sims quite the same. If you look at the images to the right of this article, you may see the connection that I do. First off, the very bottom image looks almost identical to the MySims town. The townhall in MySims has the same basic structure and there is a fountain that the MySims Sims splash in that is just like the one seem in this Sims 3 picture! Also, the last two shots, looking at a store, look like the stores in MySims. The green awnings may be the real similarity here but I definitely sense something.
If you've read last weeks article, or have just heard things about the new trait system of the Sims 3, you've heard correct. Some examples of these new traits are: brave, artistic, loner, perfectionist, klepto, romantic, clumsy, and paranoid however there are so many more!
But wait, is this? Oh my more MySims similarities! Now everything is customizable, each object's color and pattern can be changed, just like in Mysims! This is so odd, yet it might be a really nice ad to the game! It seems an easy way to change up furniture and make it your own while in the game.
Looking at some pictures of Sims 3 Sims, they are starting to grow on me. I'll admit their skin still freaks me out, but their hair and eyes look so real. Another cool thing is the weight of sims, though this too is scary how realistic it looks! The Sims 3, while the first look seemed bad, even though I had never complained on the subject before seeing the sims, is starting to grow on me, and I am curious to see what else shows up.
I hope to see some of you simmers sending in some opinion articles, especially on this big subject. This topic has many opinions and I'd like to hear yours. Send in your opinion!
